Clan Rally

Cassidys and their families and friends are invited to our next rally Friday 4 July through Sunday 6 July 2025.

The Cassidy Clan Rally is held every three years in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, close to the ancestral lands of the Cassidys.

The weekend event celebrates Irish culture and history, including local history and the Cassidy role within it, through stories, musical performances, and genealogy and cultural presentations.

We greatly appreciate your interest and support. The Cassidy Clan is a purely voluntary organization. No one with the Cassidy Clan receives any compensation for their work. We set the prices to cover the fees and charges we incur for the rally.

2025 Cassidy Clan Rally

The host hotel for the Cassidy Clan Rally is the beautiful Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Resort, which is situated to the immediate south of the center of Enniskillen and along Lough (River) Erne.

The rally will commence with our general meeting on the afternoon of Friday 4th of July followed by a “Meet the Cousins” reception with music in the evening.

On both Saturday and Sunday mornings we will have group discussions and lectures on genealogy, history and culture. On Saturday afternoon, there will be a guided tour of the area where Cassidys originated including a visit to the Cassidy ancestral path.

On Sunday afternoon, we will have our boat trip to Devenish Island. On Sunday evening, the rally concludes with our Gala Dinner with good company, food, drink and entertainment.

The cost for attending the rally is £175 (or $235 US) for a single and £300 (or $400 US) for a couple. All rally attendees are automatically granted membership in the Cassidy Clan until 2028. We will also offer the option of attending the Gala Dinner only.

Additional Touring Options

Some Clan Rally attendees are interested in visiting the Ulster American Folk Park during the day on Friday 4th July before the Clan Rally starts. The park is about a 45 minute drive from Enniskillen.

The Ulster American Folk Park is an unique, open air history centre where costumed actors and period buildings tell the story of Irish emigration. Your tour takes you from the Irish countryside, through a ship departing for America and eventually to the Pennsylvania countryside.

At this time we are not organizing a trip to the park. We will update rally attendees on the status of an outing to the park next year.

  1. I am from the Casady branch. I have heard the story that our sir name was changed from Cassity to Casady because of a suspected horse thief in the Cassity branch. Probably not true.

  2. I am Tim Cassidy best I know my part of the family came to Canada in th1830s. My wife and I are interested in attending the event and bringing along her sister and husband. My wife’s family name is Feeney. Any information would be helpful.

  3. My mother was a Cassidy and I am very interested in learning more about my ancestral family. My mother’s father,Ross Ephraim Cassidy, was born in Kentucky in the late 1800’s and later moved to Oklahoma. After he married, he returned to the midwest for work and lived in Illinois and Kentucky. I currently reside in south-central Illinois. I am also interested in attending the Clan Rally in 2025.

He had a printing business there but I don’t know from what part of Ireland he originated as I never met him and by the looks of the old photos of them together it was the early part of the 20th century 1900-1920 when they married . I shall bring the photos with me to the reunion which I shall be happy to attend !! I live in Vernon , B.C. and my address is B12 12069 Westside Road. V1H2A5 . Thank you !!
